Creating Cartoons

We have been learning how to make cartoons on Google Drawing.

We created our own cartoon creatures. We made some animals and some human figures.

To create these cartoons we searched for png images within Google Drawing because they had no background. We searched for pieces to put together our cartoon collages. Some of us used the polyline tool to trace some images. We also used autoshapes.

Something we found challenging was tracing with the polyline tool, because we had to trace the whole shape in one go to be able to fill in the colour. It was tricky when the polyline finished before the shape was finished. Something that helped woth this was using the editing points to join two unfinished piecies together.

Our top tips for creating a cartoon collage are: when resizing use the corners. To get rid of the background you can use the remove.bg website.

What do you think of our cartoons?

Kawa of Care Comics

We have been learning about looking after our devices.

We have used these collaborative slides to share our kawa of care comic strips.

We created these by making a copy of a template, then adding our own photos, cartoons and callouts to share one of our top tips about how to look after yourself and your device when you are working online.

We are proud of our comics because they are all really different and creative!

Something that was quite challenging was completing our comics in one lesson. Some of them are not quite finished yet. We have shared our progress so far.

Our tips about caring for your devices are: Don't eat or drink near them and log out when you have finished using them.
